COVID 19 Update
The government of Alberta has mandated new COVID-19 restrictions effective September 20, 2021.
Schott’s Lake recognizes that these restrictions will be met with different levels of acceptance among our guests, employees, and the many businesses they affect.
In order to stay open and keep our team employed, we have made the decision to participate in the Restrictions Exemption Program. More information about this is below. We greatly appreciate your empathy and support. Stay safe and be kind.
The Kitchen Restaurant
In order to remain open for indoor dining, The Kitchen restaurant must comply with Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program. This means that guests age 12 and older choosing to dine in the restaurant will be required to show:
- Government-issued ID (for adults only); and
- One of:
- Proof of vaccination;
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72 hours; or
- An original vaccine medical exception letter.
Guests will be required to wear masks while in the restaurant except while they are seated at their tables.
Outdoor dining and take-out
Our patio will remain open for outdoor dining for as long as weather permits, and our take-out menu will still be available. Neither of these options will require proof of vaccination, testing or a medical exception.
Patio tables will be limited to six people from the same household or three people in the same cohort for those who live alone.
Motel / Cabins / Campground
Open for reservations and welcoming visitors!
Proof of vaccination, testing, or a medical exception is not required to stay at our motel/cabins/campground. Masks will be required in all public indoor spaces in accordance with provincial law.
